A Nexstar Media and Emerson College Poll of Louisiana residents found that 70-percent of the respondents said their car insurance rates went up in the past year. 40-percent say their new premium presents a major financial burden. And nearly 62-percent also report an increase in their homeowners-flood insurance rates.
