Thibodaux Police have arrested a woman accused of injuring another woman with a box cutter during a fight. Authorities say 37-year-old Shawna Waller and the victim were involved in an argument over the victim’s boyfriend when it turned physical. They say Waller allegedly swung at the woman with a box cutter, cutting her neck and hand. The victim was treated at a local hospital. Waller is charged with second degree battery.

Lafayette Police say a 35-year-old man is hospitalized after an apparent home invasion. Corporal Paul Mouton says the victim was shot several times by the suspects while trying to flee the residence. He says the man is listed in critical condition…

Witnesses report 3 black men kicked in a door of the residence and began demanding money from the occupants.

East Baton Rouge Parish DA Hillar Moore says cell phone encryption is making it difficult to solve the murders of 29-year-old Brittney Mills and her son. Mills, who was 8 months pregnant at the time, was shot and killed on April 24th at her apartment. The baby later died at a hospital. Moore says they can’t get into MIlls’ Apple iPhone…
