There’s a new poll out on the Governor’s race that shows Republican Jeff Landry in the lead by double digits, but also reveals a majority of voters are unhappy with state government in general. The poll was conducted by the conservative group, “Citizens For a New Louisiana.” Pollster Bernie Pinsonat says he’s never seen voter confidence so low:

The Louisiana Department of Education launches its first hurricane preparedness playbook for schools. State Superintendent Dr. Cade Brumley says this serves as a collection of recommendations for system administrators on how to prepare for natural disasters…:

There was no winner in last night’s massive Powerball drawing which now grows to an estimated $875 million dollars. That’s an estimated $441 million lump sum cash value before tax.
