The Republican Party of Louisiana endorses Jeff Landry for Attorney General. In a news conference this morning, LAGOP Chairman Roger Villere said voters recognize the need for a chance in the AG’s office and Landry is the one to lead with honest and integrity with conservative principles.

The state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries cite two men accused of stealing over 500 alligator eggs valued at over $10,000. LDWF spokesperson Gabe Giffin says agents observed 24-year-old Christopher Trahan of Lake Charles and 47-year-old Paul Canick of Grand Chenier:

Trahan and Canick are cited for illegal possession of alligator eggs and not following regulations.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office says a 34-year-old man who claimed to be a youth mentor is under arrest for having sex with a juvenile. Apparently Jeremy Tyrone Sims began having sex with the girl several years ago when she was 14 after convincing the family that he was her youth mentor. He’s booked with molestation of a juvenile.
