State leaders are alerting Louisiana residents with a driver’s license or state ID of a data breach involving a third party transfer service that the Office of Motor Vehicles uses. The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness says there is no indication at this time the cyber attackers have sold, used, shared or released the OMV data obtained in the attack. But Louisianans should act quickly to protect their identities.

Governor Edwards and a delegation from Louisiana leave today for a week long economic development trip to France and Belgium. Edwards will attend the Paris Air Show, the largest aerospace and aviation trade show in the world. The Belgium leg of the mission will bring together an array of Louisiana and Belgian bioscience business and research leaders. The governor’s deputy chief of staff, Eric Holl, says this is the governor’s fourth overseas trip since the beginning of 2022 and they have borne fruit for the state…
