Beginning in August, individuals convicted of driving drunk with a blood alcohol content of .15 or higher can use a monitoring device in their vehicle to prevent them from driving under the influence again. Current law only allows a DWI offender to get a monitoring device to reinstate their license if they had a BAC of .20 or higher.
