As expected LSU baseball has been awarded one of the 16 regional sites in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers are also expected to be a top eight national seed, which means they would be in position to host a super regional.

Who will be in LSU’s regional will be answered today. Two other other Louisiana teams have received automatic berths. Despite only winning 19 games this season, Tulane has received an automatic bid after winning the American Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament by beating top seeded East Carolina eight to six yesterday. The victory gave the program its ninth conference tournament win.

Nicholls won its first Southland Baseball Tournament title since 1998 when they defeated U-N-O six to three on Saturday in Lake Charles.

The Ragin Cajuns made it to the Sun Belt Tournament Title game, but lost to Southern Miss six to two. UL Lafayette is 40-22 and they’ll find out today if they’ve done enough to get an at-large bid.

LSU will play Friday against a team to be announced in the opening round of the Baton Rouge Regional.

Delgado avoided elimination in the National Junior College World Series in Colorado with an eleven to five win over Andrew College in Georgia. The win marks the progam’s first World Series victory since 2016. Delgado is now 46-12 on the season and they will play again Monday afternoon.
