The LSU Tigers were sent home from the SEC Tournament yesterday as they suffered their second consecutive one run loss as they fell to Texas A-and-M five to four. The Aggies scored four runs in the seventh inning to take the lead. LSU relief pitcher Sam Dutton gave up a three-run homer. Could Nicholls or UNO be in a regional with LSU? Those two teams will battle it out today in the Southland Tournament Championship game. The Colonels need just one win, while the Privateers need to win two games to secure an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The action gets underway at 1 PM in Lake Charles.

The Ragin Cajuns are still alive in the Sun Belt Tournament after beating Texas State 12 to six. Carson Roccaforte (Rock-uh-fort) drove in five runs. U-L Lafayette will have to beat top-seeded Coastal Carolina twice today to advance to the championship game.

Louisiana Tech’s season is done as they lost to Charlotte four to one in the Conference USA Tournament. After playing in the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons, the Bulldogs finished with a 28-31 record.

Grambling fell to Bethune-Cookman seven to three. The Wildcats and Tigers will play again today at 3 PM to find out who plays in the SWAC Championship game.

The Ragin Cajuns softball team dropped the opener of its Super Regional Series to Washington as they were blanked by the Huskies eight to nothing. Game two is tonight at 6 PM.

The Saints have reportedly brought former Raiders and Buccaneers head coach John Gruden to help new quarterback Derek Carr learn the offense. Gruden coached Carr from 2018 through the first five games of the 2021 season and Gruden knows the type of offense the Saints run.
