Thibodaux Police say a Tuesday night triple shooting has left one dead and two others injured. Authorities say the three victims were transported to a local hospital where one succumbed to his injuries. The two other victims are being treated for their wounds. The name of the deceased is being withheld upon notification of next of kin. The investigation is in its early stages.

Shreveport Police say a man is facing charges after allegedly bringing a concealed handgun into a military recruiting station Tuesday afternoon. They say while employees were talking with 48-year-old David Quinn, they learned Quinn was hiding a gun inside a basketball. Quinn is charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Authorities are working to determine Quinn’s motive. This recruiting facility is not a federal facility, otherwise additional charges would have been filed.

Louisiana National Guard spokesperson Colonel Pete Schneider says they are still crafting a policy so they can follow Governor Bobby Jindal’s executive order allowing guardsmen to be armed at military facilities. He says unit commanders will determine which guardsmen will be armed once they arrive at a National Guard facility…
