The top ranked LSU baseball team improved to 15-and-5 in SEC Play after completing a sweep of Alabama with a 13 to 11 win over the Crimson Tide yesterday. The Cajuns fell to 11-10 in Sun Belt play after losing two of three to sixth ranked Coastal Carolina. ULM has lost in six in a row and they are now 15 and 29. Louisiana Tech took two of three from Middle Tennessee and is tied for fourth place in Conference USA.

The Saints also signed South Carolina State receiver Shaquan Davis as an unrestricted free agent. He’s six-foot-four, 216 pounds, and in 35 career games he caught 133 passes for 2,724 yards and 29 touchdowns.

Former LSU wide receiver Kayshon Boutte slid all the way into the sixth round until he was selected by the New England Patriots. At one time during Boutte’s career, he was considered a first round pick, but injuries and a lack of production hurt his draft stock.
