The Senate Education Committee advances a bill to keep adult reading material in public libraries out of the hands of children. Turkey Creek Republican Senator Heather Cloud says this is a matter of importance to a great many parents and grandparents across Louisiana…:

Travelers along Interstate 10 between Baton Rouge and Lafayette: be warned. Road crews will be doing some repairs on the elevated Atchafalaya Basin Bridge today; meaning some lane closures in the eastbound right lane near Lake Pelba until about 3 pm.  Either allow extra drive time or take an alternate route.
