The Ragin Cajuns took down the number one team in college baseball last night as U-L Lafayette upended LSU eight to five for their first win against a team ranked number one since 2014. David Christie was the winning pitcher as he gave up one run in six innings. Riley Cooper suffered the loss for the Tigers as he allowed four runs in 3.1 innings.

Louisiana Tech won its fourth straight last night as the Bulldogs defeated Southern Miss three to one at J-C Love Field. Reed Smith was the winning pitcher as he allowed one run over five innings. Jorge Corona also homered for Tech.

LSU football will hold its spring game this Saturday in Tiger Stadium at 1 Pm. The format for this year’s spring game will feature an offense versus defense scrimmage. Fans will watch the quarterbacks, Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeier compete, but Coach Brian Kelly says he’ll pa closer attention to the new players on the roster…

In softball….McNeese rallied from a three-run deficit to beat 15th ranked LSU four to three in Lake Charles and the 25th ranked Cajuns softball team shutout Southeastern Louisiana seven to nothing.
