An Ascension Parish lawmaker’s bill for the upcoming legislative session would authorize public schools to have a trained, armed protection officer on campus. And Baton Rouge Representative Barry Ivey wants to require high school students to receive organ donor instructions. Ivey says the bill is at the request of a constituent, who lost her daughter, Allie Raines, in a 2021 car crash. He says Allie’s example is one more kids should follow…:
