The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is mourning the death of 44-year-old Detective Sergeant Nicholas Pepper. He was killed when a suspect rammed into his vehicle during a police chase. The suspect is in custody.

The legislative session begins a week from today and New Orleans Representative Delisha Boyd has filed a bill that would allow an abortion in Louisiana in cases of rape and incest.
