Charges have been dropped against LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers who was arrested in New Orleans this week for a misdemeanor count of illegal carrying of a weapon on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Prosecutors decided to drop charges on the condition that Nabers does not get the gun back.

The LSU men’s basketball team will try to end a 14-game losing streak tonight when they host Vanderbilt. A 15th straight loss would tie a school record set in 2017. Vanderbilt comes into tonight’s game with a five-game winning streak, the second longest in the SEC. Tip off is at 6 PM.

In college baseball tonight….the Ragin Cajuns open their home schedule as they host BYU. U-L Lafayette took two of three from Rice last weekend, while the Cougars split a four game series with Louisiana Tech. Nicholls is at South Alabama, while ULM travels to Mississippi State.

The Pelicans return from the All-Star break tomorrow with a game in Toronto. Dyson Daniels and Larry Nance Junior are listed as probable to play. There are 23 games left in the regular season and they are currently in seventh place in the Western Conference standings.

The fifth ranked LSU Lady Tigers have two regular season games left. LSU is at Vanderbilt tomorrow night. In Saturday’s win over Florida a few role players stepped up as Jasmine Carson knocked down a career-high seven three-pointers and LaDazhia Williams had a double-double. Coach Kim Mulkey says they’ll need more from their supporting cast going forward…
