The National Right to Life convention begins a three day conference in New Orleans today. Executive Director Ben Clapper says delegates from all 50 states come together to celebrate a festival of life and feature speakers to educate individuals of the Right to Life movement.

A man from Allen Parish was electrocuted Wednesday while he was trying to steal copper wires from electric utility poles according to the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office. After a “man down” call came in, deputies and emergency officials say they arrived on scene and discovred 51-year-old Jesse Jones of Reeves unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Three alleged accomplices are arrested on theft charges.
