The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s office arrests a man for allegedly raping a woman he met over social media. They say 25-year-old Matthew Melancon met the victim at her apartment after they’d been chatting online for about four to five months. It was there that cops believe the suspect drugged then abducted the woman. Melancon was released on a $40,000 bond.
