LSU Freshman quarterback Walker Howard announced he will be entering the transfer portal. There are five NFL teams searching for a new head coach and Saints analyst Nick Underhill believes all five of them have contacted former Saints coach Sean Payton. Of the five, the Saints have allowed the Broncos, Cardinals, and Texans to meet with Payton. The NFL is not allowing any interviews until the 17th,  Payton’s first interview has been scheduled with the Broncos for next Tuesday. New Orleans still owns the rights to Payton’s contract, meaning if he were to seek a new team, the Saints have said they’d require at least first-round pick compensation.

ULM hosts the Ragin’ Cajuns tonight as both teams look for a crucial Sun-Belt win. The 12-4 Cajuns were preseason favorites to win the conference but lost their first two Sun-Belt games on the road before bouncing back to win their last two. ULL coach Bob Marlin wants to keep his team’s momentum
