Police in Shreveport say a 40-year-old man is dead and a friend of his live in girlfriend is charged with the murder. They say it was an alleged fatal stabbing that happened at the couple’s hope in West Shreveport yesterday morning. 36-year-old Valerie Bass is accused of stabbing Isaac McClain in the neck during an argument. The girlfriend is not charged.

And this just in. Apparently Ronal Serpas is out police chief in New Orleans. According to sources Serpas will announce his retirement at a news conference today.

The upcoming CBS Television series “NCIS: New Orleans” will do some filming in Baton Rouge at the USS KIDD. Eric Gill has the story…:
