Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin is reminding everyone that Saturday is Election Day. Polls open at 7:00am and close at 8:00pm. Voters can find their polling location and see election results using the G-E-A-U-X vote app. There are three statewide constitutional amendments on the ballots, a third district public service commissioner run-off to be decided, and a few mayoral races across the state also.
Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser will conduct polling this weekend as he considers running for governor. Political Analyst Bernie Pinsonat says there are several factors Nungesser needs to take into consideration, for example, campaign funds, can he outraise John Kennedy if he runs? And with Jeff Landry in the race can Nungesser capture enough Republican support?

A Eunice couple accused of abusing their adopted daughter and foster son has been arrested. Eunice Police have charged 41-year-old Robert Leason for molestation and indecent behavior with juveniles, and his 46-year-old wife Sheri Leason for second-degree cruelty to juveniles. The Leason’s adopted a 12-year-old girl in 2019 and have been fostering a 7-year-old boy since 2021.
Thursday was a big day for northeast Louisiana high school football as both Ouachita Christian and Oak Grove won state titles.
