Disappointing end to what was a great regular season for the LSU Tigers as they lost on Saturday to Texas A&M 38-23 in Bryan-College Station. Tulane is preparing to host Central Florida in the American Athletic Conference Championship game on Saturday, but there are rumors that coach Willie Fritz will be the next head coach at Georgia Tech. The 62-year-old Fritz is 41-and-45 in his seven seasons at Tulane.

For the first time since 2002 the Saints were shutout in an NFL regular season game as they lost to the 49ers 13 to nothing in San Francisco yesterday. San Fran leads the NFL in fewest yards per game given up. But New Orleans had chances. However kicker Will Lutz missed a field goal, Alvin Kamara fumbled twice for the first time in his career and Coach Dennis Allen says there were some passes that could have been caught…

LSU men’s basketball held off Wofford yesterday 78-75. The game featured 19 lead changes and Adam Miller had 26 points. Northwestern State State is now 5-and-2 after beating Bethune-Cookman 69-66 yesterday.
