Good news on the injury front, LSU wide receiver Brian Thomas is expected to play Saturday night after missing the Arkansas game with a concussion.

Southeastern Louisiana won a Southland Conference championship last night for the third time in school history as the Lions scored the game’s final 23 points as they defeated Nicholls 40-17 in Thibodaux. The win gives Southeastern an automatic berth into the FCS playoffs.

Tulane bounced back from last week’s loss to U-C-F to defeat SMU 59-24 last night. The Greenies are now 9-2 and will visit 22nd ranked Cincinnati on Friday.

Louisiana Tech is at Charlotte on Saturday and freshman Landry Lyddy gets another start at quarterback for the Bulldogs. Coach Sunny Cumbie says he’s excited to get the Shreveport native more experience…

LSU men’s basketball improved to 3-0 last night with a dominating 91-62 win over UNO. Derek Fountain came off the bench and led the Tigers in scoring with 17 points.

The Cajuns rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat Louisiana Tech 94-88. Greg Williams Junior had 16 points. 15th ranked TCU downed ULM 95-60 and Northwestern State downed Illinois State 70-67. Senior Demarcus Sharp had 23 points.
