17th ranked Tulane can take a major step towards playing in one of the major bowl games if they can beat 22nd ranked U-C-F. That top 25 matchup kicks-off at 2:30 in Yulman Stadium.

The Saints have ruled out five players for Sunday’s game at Pittsburgh because of injury. Running back Mark Ingram, cornerback Marshon Lattimore, center Erik McCoy, offensive guard Andrus Peat and linebacker Pete Werner. None of them practiced this week. Marcus Davenport, Marcus Maye and P-J Williams are questionable. But Saints wide receiver Jarvis Landry is expected to play after missing multiple games with an ankle injury suffered in week four.

Back to the college football schedule…Louisiana Tech is in San Antonio to take on UTSA. The Roadrunners are a perfect 5-0 in Conference USA.

In the Sun Belt, ULM is at Georgia State, while the Cajuns won on Thursday night beating Georgia Southern 36-17.

First place in the Southland Conference is on the line in Hammond as Southeastern Louisiana hosts Northwestern State. The Demons are 4-0 in league play.
