According to the oil field services firm Baker Hughes, the number of drilling rigs in Haynesville has risen over the last year to 70 from 47. The Advocate reports the war in Ukraine has led to a big demand in natural gas and producers are getting top dollar for the fuel that they can ship overseas thanks to natural gas faciliies on the Texas and Louisiana coasts.
