The state department of Children and Family Services will hold a press conference this morning to discuss the death of one-year-old J’ahrei Paul. The coroner says the Baton Rouge toddler died of a fentanyl overdose. DCFS says they previously investigated the child’s mother for marijuana use during her pregnancies. She was in jail in Texas at the time of the child’s death. The child was in the care of her father when the infant was taken to the hospital last Monday.
