Governor Bobby Jindal is on the campaign trail today meeting with voters in New Hampshire as he’s joined a long list of candidates seeking the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. And though many people do not think Governor Jindal has much of a chance to win the GOP nomination, ULM Political Science Professor John Sutherlin says Jindal can emerge as one of the favorites. He says Jindal can distinguish himself by telling American voters that as Governor he didn’t raise taxes, he reduced the size of the budget and reformed ethic laws.

Fidelity Investments’ 2015 Couples Retirement Study finds a disconnect between couples on finances and retirement planning issues. The study shows that 43-percent of respondents don’t know how much their partner makes. Tulane University Business Professor, Dr. Mark Rosa, says that doesn’t surprise him. The survey also shows that 48-percent of respondents have no idea how much money they need to save to maintain their current lifestyle in retirement. Rosa says people should take more interest in their finances because, after all, it is your own money.
