Governor Bobby Jindal has officially announced that he’s running for president. Jindal made the announcement on social media today with videos of him breaking the news to his children. The announcement ceremony is today at 4pm in Kenner.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s office is investigating a fatal domestic situation in which a man shot his wife, son and 3-year-old granddaughter before being shot and killed by his son. Spokeswoman Ginny Higgins says says it appears that 58-year-old Clifford Blanchard fatally shot his wife Leola and also shot and injured his son, 32-year-old Scott Blanchard..:

A man wanted for allegedly stealing his father’s identity has turned himself into Baton Rouge authorities. BRPD Cpl. Don Coppola says 29-year-old Gabadiah McClay of Plaquemine was booked on charges of Forgery and Identity Theft:
