Jindal says this matter should be decided by states, not the federal government, and it’s possible lawmakers will address the plate in the next session.

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office says a Tuesday night shooting in Breaux Bridge, that they describe as a domestic disturbance, has left three people dead and another critically injured. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered three people fatally shot aged 72, 58 and a three year old little girl. We’ll have more on this as it develops.

According to a website called nerdwallet, consumers in The Bayou State pay the highest percentage of their annual salary for insurance in the country.
