Ten juvenile offenders have been moved from the Bridge City Center for Youth to the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. The juvenile detention center in Jefferson Parish has seen several escapes and reports of violence. Marrero Senator Patrick Connick says this transfer of youth inmates will help the remaining offenders, who want to turn their lives around…

A new report says manufacturing jobs in central Louisiana will increase by 14-percent over the next four years. CEO of Louisiana Central, Jim Clinton says in comparison nationally jobs are expected to decline by four percent and statewide by two percent.

Kroger has announced plans to buy Albertsons which has 16 locations in Louisiana, mostly in the Lafayette and Baton Rouge areas. With prices at the grocery store rising, retail analyst Wade Ragas says a merger like this could actually help reduce prices…
