Get ready for some colder weather. A freeze watch is in effect from late tomorrow night through Wednesday morning for northeast Louisiana and a portion of central Louisiana. Near to below freezing temperatures are also possible for Tangipahoa, St. Tammany and Washington parishes Wednesday morning.
The Livingston Parish Council has voted against a proposal to store greenhouse gases beneath Lake Maurepas. Air Products, which is based in East Baton Rouge Parish, is looking to pump carbon dioxide into the ground under Lake Maurepas, which is owned by the state.
