Deer hunters take note: state Wildlife & Fisheries are again concerned with the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease among Louisiana’s deer herd, so they’re asking you to donate your deer kill. LDWF Deer Program Manager Jon Bordelon says they need samples to test and track for CWD. He says, though it hasn’t been known to jump to humans…it’s probably best to not eat venison from an infected deer…:

They need samples taken in Franklin, Madison and Tensas parishes.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic the Ark-La-Miss Fair returns to Monroe this weekend. Mike Shields, with the West Monroe Civitan Club, says expect rides, games and great food…plus activities for – literally – kids of all ages…:

It’s likely Saints back-up Andy Dalton will start at quarterback on Sunday when New Orleans takes on Minnesota in London. Regular starter Jameis Winston is listed as doubtful on the injury report after not practicing this week because of back and ankle injuries. Dalton says the biggest thing for the offense is to be efficient:
