The LSU football team is getting ready for its first SEC road test of the year as they will visit Auburn on Saturday. Coach Brian Kelly says the prepartion for this week will better emulate game speed due to the similarities of the two teams…

Kelly said today on the SEC Coaches Teleconference that starting left guard Garrett Dellinger had surgery yesterday to repair a broken hand suffered in the shutout win over New Mexico and he’s doubtful to play this Saturday. Miles Frazier started the season as the left guard could get the nod to start at Auburn.

Saints quarterback Jameis Winston, wide receiver Michael Thomas and offensive tackle Ryan Ramczk did not practice today as the team prepares for Sunday’s game in London against Minnesota. Winston has an ongoing back injury, Thomas has developed a toe injury and Ramczyk has an elbow injury.

Training camp is underway for the Pelicans. It’s year number for head coach Willie Green who led the team into the playoffs last season. Green compared yesterday’s first practice to how the season started last year…

The Pelicans’ preseason will begin October 4th against the Bulls.

The LSU men’s basketball team holds its first practice today under first year coach Matt McMahon. It’s a completely different team this year with 10 new scholarship players. The Tigers will have 28 practices before the season opener against Missouri-Kansas City on November ninth.

Hurricane Ian is bearing down on Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are scheduled to host the Chiefs on Sunday night. Caesars Superdome spokesperson Doug Thornton says they’ve told the NFL that the Dome could host the game, if Tampa is unable to host.
