LSU football coach Brian Kelly says starting quarterback Jayden Daniels is experiencing no residual effects from the hard hit he took in the third quarter during Saturday’s shutout win over New Mexico. Daniels left the game with what was called a lower back strain.

Senior Safety Joe Foucha will make his debut in Saturday’s Auburn game. The transfer from Arkansas was suspended the first four games due to academic issues. Kelly says Foucha has been practicing with the team during his suspension and should fit in well…

LSU’s next home game is Saturday October 8th against Tennessee and CBS chose not to televise it, so Tiger fans will have to prepare for an 11 AM kick-off.

The Pelicans begin training camp today and Zion Williamson will be a full go after missing all of last season with a foot injury. New Orleans made the postseason last year as the addition of C-J McCollum in February helped the Pels get into the play-in tournament and advance into the Western Conference playoffs. Williamson says this year they want to make a deep run in the postseason…

Saints wide receivers Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry and Tre’Quan Smith all left Sunday’s game with injuries. The NFL Network Ian Rapoport’s reports Thomas and Landry’s injuries do not appear to be serious. The Black and Gold are in London getting ready for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
