The U.S Department of Commerce announces a one-point-eight million dollar grant for a north Louisiana bioscience center. The new Biomedical Research and Innovation park will be located on the ULM campus. Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Don Pierson says the project is expected to create 175 jobs in the Monroe area and they hope many of the employees are ULM grads.

Nearly a third of small business owners nationwide say inflation is the single largest problem in running their business, according to a survey by the National Federation of Independent Business. A recent Gallup poll finds that Quiet Quitters make up at least 50-percent of the U-S workforce. Quiet Quitting is a worker who does just what the job requires and the employee does not go above and beyond their duties.
