Call it a weapon in the arsenal to combat illegal drug sales on the street. CVS pharmacies say they now have time delay pharmacy safes in all Louisiana CVS stores, which should make a big dent in pharmacy burglaries and thefts. CVS’s Tom Moriarty says the time-lock technology is tested and proven effective…:

He says the time-lock safes deter thieves from coming back and hitting the store again, because they are take too much time and effort to crack.

Thibodaux Police continue to search for the gunman who fatally shot 15-year-old Jarian Cole from Assumption Parish on Saturday afternoon. Lt. Clint Dempster says Cole was shot multiple times in the back, and they are working overtime to find the killer…:

State Police report an elderly woman was killed Monday in a head-on crash in Ouachita Parish. Troopers say 72-year-old Beverly Justice was a passenger in Buick minivan driving down Highway 151, when a Ford pickup crossed the center line; crashing into them. The two drivers were also seriously hurt. The crash is under investigation.
