Still no announcement from LSU Coach Brian Kelly on who will be the Tigers starting quarterback against Florida State September fourth. Kelly said last night the compeitition between Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeier remains tight, but he knows he’ll have to make a decision in the next few days…

Kelly was asked if both might play against the Seminoles and Kelly says he doesn’t have an answer to that question and he says he’s not trying to be evasive.

ULM Coach Terry Bowden has named Chandler Rogers as the Warhawks starting quarterback for the team’s season opener at Texas. Rogers beat out junior Jiya Wright for the job. Rogers started seven games ast a freshman last season and threw for 13-hundred yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions.

Michael Thomas was not at practice for a third consecutive day for the Saints as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. Several offensive lineman were also out, Ryam Ramczyk, Cesar Ruiz, James Hurst and Landon Young. Tight end Taysom Hill returned to practice. Coach Dennis Allen gave us his toughts on Hill’s training camp…

The Saints hold one more full practice today before Friday’s preseson finale against the Los Angeles Chargers at the Superdome.

And the Saints roster is down to 80 after putting wide receiver Kevin White on injured reserve and releasing tight end Chris Herndon.
