A ruling is expected soon from the Louisiana Supreme Court on whether Shreveport mayor Adrian Perkins’ can run for re-election. Attorney Jerry Harper told the state’s highest court that the home address Perkins put down on his qualifying papers does not match his homestead exemption and he should be disqualified from the race.

But an attorney for Perkins says an incorrect address on his qualifying paper should not prevent the mayor from running for another term.
