Mathieu missed the first six training camp practices to deal with a personal matter. The Honey Badger has been limited in the first two practices he’s participated in, but the ten-year veteran knows the number of reps he’s involved in will only increase….

Meanwhile, defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is limiting his activity because he wants a new contract. Gardner-Johnson is entering the final season of his rookie contract. He’s become one of the NFL’s top slot cornerbacks.

The battle for starting quarterback at Louisiana Tech is officially underway as the Bulldogs have started preseason camp. First-year head coach Sonny Cumbie says Matthew Downing and Parker McNeil are the two with the most experience, but that doesn’t mean others can’t win the job. Cumbie says as he watches the Q-B battle it’s important that the Q-Bs just focus on their performance…
