In other Saints news, Wide receiver Michael Thomas is now participating in seven on seven drills, while defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is limiting his activity as he seeks a new contract. Gardner-Johnson is entering the final season of his rookie contract. He’s become one of the NFL’s top slot cornerbacks.

LSU will practice this afternoon as indoors as training camp kicks-off for first year head coach Brian Kelly. Kelly is scheduled to discuss what he saw with the media at 6:15 tonight. And the media will get to watch two scrimmages during camp, August 17th and August 23rd.

The battle for starting quarterback at Louisiana Tech is officially underway as the Bulldogs held their first practice of preseason camp yesterday.
