The National weather Service says the Red River at Shreveport is still a tad over 37 feet. The Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness have started assessing the damage in Northwest Louisiana. The information is needed in support of possible federal assistance.

Governor Bobby Jindal is going to sign the Common Core compromise bills according to his office. Four panels, mostly be made up of teachers, will review Common Core and make recommendations to BESE. A shocking incident happened in New Orleans this morning as a truck drove through a glass parking garage and fell to the street 5 or 6 floors below. Cops say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
