LSU announces wide receiver Kayson Boutte will wear number seven this season. The player who wears number seven is considered the Tigers top play maker. Boutte is entering his junior season and could be a top ten pick in the NFL draft if he has a big season this year.

The Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year Paxton Kling has removed his name from the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft so he can play baseball at LSU. Kling committed to LSU in 2019 and during his senior season he hit .585 with five home runs and 33 steals. He is rated as the 104th best prospect in M-L-B’s draft rankings.

Louisiana Tech baseball has officially added two transfers, pitcher Rawley Hector from Texas A-and-M. Hector appeared in nine games last season for the Aggies. Also heading to Ruston is former Barbe star and LSU outfielder Brody Drost. Drost was named the 2020 Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year but  only hit .226 in two seasons at LSU.
