Attorney General Jeff Landry sent a letter to the Louisiana State Medical Society warning doctors abortion is a crime and it has been since last Friday when the U-S Supreme Court ruled that states have the authority to outlaw abortions. Landry says a judge’s order blocking the state from enforcing an abortion ban has limited reach.
Ketanji Brown Jackson will be sworn in as a U-S Supreme Court Justice today replacing the retiring the Stephen Breyer. The nation’s highest court will determine if Louisiana’s Congressional map approved by legislators is constitutional. There are 17 new wildlife agents on the job today. They are the most recent graduates of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Law Enforcement Academy. LDWF spokesperson Adam Einck says potential agents undergo a rigorous selection process before they attend the academy.
