The Cajuns fell to Ole Miss in last year’s Super Regionals and are looking to return to Omaha for the first time since 2000. Saturday night’s game can be seen on ESPN2.

The LSU men’s golf team is back in Baton Rouge after winning the program’s first national championship in 60 years. The Tigers defeated USC in match-play to claim the title. Ben Taylor’s nine-foot par putt on 18 wrapped up LSU’s first men’s golf championship since 1955.

At Saints OTA, Coach Sean Payton talked about a simpler approach on defense. He says they are doing it to improve execution and reduce variables. Payton says it’s something they have to do, after giving up several big plays last season.

Also at Saints OTA, running back Mark Ingram didn’t participate. Payton says he’s resting a minor foot-slash-ankle injury.

Saints linebacker Junior Galette has suffered a pectoral injury that may require surgery. It is unclear how the injury occurred, but Galette is contemplating surgery that could sideline the five year veteran for part or all of next season.

Former LSU Tiger Trindon Holliday has inked a deal with the Oakland Raiders. Holliday played for three different teams in 2014, before being released by San Francisco 49ers.

The R-and-L Carriers New Orleans Bowl returns to primetime. This year’s game will be played on Saturday, December 19th at 8 PM in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Last year’s game, which featured UL-Lafayette for a third consecutive year, kicked-off at 10 A-M.
