With some success over the past couple of weekends, LSU baseball has slowly made its way back into the conversation for hosting a regional after a disappointing start in SEC play. Louisiana Tech picked up its fourth straight victory, edging Northwestern State, 4-3 in Natchitoches. The Bulldogs improve to 32-15 on the season. Steele Netterville went 2-for-4 and got the scoring started with a two-run blast in the first. Kyle Crigger gave up a run in the ninth but held on to collect his 10th save of the season.

In an exclusive interview with Tiger Rag Editor Tim Buckley, LSU football coach Brian Kelly says that he’s open to having both a starter and a change-of-pace QB as the 2022 season begins. Kelly agreed when it was suggested that it could be something similar to how the Saints used both Drew Brees and Taysom Hill for multiple seasons. The Tigers have four talented quarterbacks on the roster: Myles Brennan, the sixth-year veteran; Jayden Daniels, the electrifying transfer; Garrett Nussmeier, the talented upstart; and Walker Howard, the five-star freshman. All but Howard are still in consideration for the starting job heading into the summer. Kelly says that a starter likely won’t be named until August. Tyrann Mathieu met with the media after signing his new contract with the Saints. The Honey Badger says at age 30, he still has plenty in the tank.
