An FBI agent involved shooting in Bossier City has left a kidnapping suspect dead. Authorities say 9-year-old Caitlyn Williams was allegedly kidnapped in Texas by her uncle, 24-year-old Jesse Williams over the weekend. The pair were tracked to a motel room in Bossier City. When agents encountered Jesse, a struggle ensued and shots were fired. Jesse was fatally shot. An FBI agent was also shot and is expected to make a full recovery.

Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Robert Barham says Sgt. Scott Bullitt, who was shot last week in Ouachita Parish while on duty, remains hospitalized in serious condition in a Shreveport hospital. He says neurosurgeons performed surgery on Bullitt Saturday…:

The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announce that LSU play-by-play announcer Jim Hawthorne will be this year’s recipient of the NFF Chris Schenkel Award. It’s presented annually to people who have had long, distinguished careers in broadcasting college football.
