A federal judge in Washington D-C has invalidated a Gulf of Mexico oil and gas lease sale that took place in November where a record one-point-seven million acres were sold. Judge Rudolph Contreras expressed concern over the impact on the climate, but Louisiana Oil and Gas Association President Mike Moncla says canceling the November lease sale will result in more dependence on foreign oil….

Moncla has asked the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office to look into appealing the ruling.

Two years ago this month, Joe Burrow led the LSU Tigers to a national championship, now he has the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl for the first time in 32 years. Burrow rallied the Bengals past the Kansas City Chiefs for a 27-24 overtime victory.
