It’s the day after, and it still doesn’t feel real. After 16 years, Sean Payton made his emotional exit from the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, in a press conference where he reflected on his remarkable tenure with the franchise.
Payton brought an unprecedented era of winning to the Saints, collecting seven division championships, nine playoff appearances and the Super Bowl 44 trophy. But Payton’s very first team in New Orleans remains special to him.

Mobile sports wagering is set to go live in Louisiana, outside of the nine parishes that voted it down, beginning this Friday, January 28. Gaming Control Board Chairman, Ronnie Johns, says all systems are go for the first bets to be placed ahead of one of the busiest sports betting weekends of the year.

The 19th-ranked LSU men’s basketball team looks to snap a three-game losing streak tonight when the Tigers host Texas A-and-M at 8 PM. LSU coach Will Wade says it’s 50-50 whether Darius Days will play with a sore ankle and if Xavier Pinson plays, he’ll be limited with a knee injury. The Tigers are mired in their first three-game losing streak in 2018, but Wade believes they’ll come out of it soon…

The New Orleans Pelicans were tough, but came up short in a 117-107 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night. Playing without four starters, the Pels were led by Nickeil Alexander-Walker with 31 points, and Billy Hernangomez added 29 points and 10 rebounds.
