Former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow makes his NFL playoff debut on Saturday when the Bengals host the Raiders to kick off the NFL’s Wildcard weekend. Burrow led Cincinnati to its first AFC North Championship since 2015 and is getting a lot of credit for Cincy’s turnaround. But Burrow says he’s playing with the best group of receivers in the NFL…:

The Pelicans had no problem last night as they raced to a 113-89 victory over the Clippers.

What an incredible win in the PMAC last night by the LSU women’s basketball team. The Number 12 Purple and Gold Tigers were lifted to an 87-85 victory over Missouri after a game winning layup by Senior Khayal Pointer with 5.7 seconds left in overtime. LSU is now 16-2 and 4-1 in the SEC.

Also in college hoops last night, the Louisiana Tech men’s basketball team had an easy time over Southern Miss picking up an 80-57 win. UL-Lafayette fell to UT-Arlington 83-73 on the road. The Cajuns are now 8-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play. ULM fell to Texas State 80-56.

LSU Football has received commitments from 2 more players in the transfer portal. Penn State Running back Noah Cain is a Baton Rouge native and returning to Louisiana after leading the Nittany Lions in rushing touchdowns last year. Also, Arkansas defensive back Gregory Brooks is coming to LSU.

The Louisiana Marathon is coming back to Baton Rouge for its 11th year. Thousands of runners from all over the world are expected to be in this weekend. Officials say the Louisiana Marathon weekend generates between $2 million and $4 million in economic impact each year.
