Former LSU running back Kevin Faulk got teary-eyed talking about his election to the College Football Hall of Fame when he met with reporters in Baton Rouge. Faulk admits being inducted into the Hall of Fame means so much more after the death of his youngest daughter in September and then losing his job as LSU running backs coach in December…

Faulk is still LSU’s all-time leading rusher and he still holds the record for All-purpose yards in the SEC.

LSU is starting to add some bodies through the transfer portal. Arkansas safety Joe Foucha and Ragin Cajuns cornerback Mekhi Gardner both announced last night they plan on transferring to LSU. Foucha has started 33 games for the Razorbacks over the last three seasons. Gardner had three interceptions this past season for the Cajuns.

The 12th ranked LSU men’s basketball team will try to win a game on the road at Florida tonight without senior point guard Xavier Pinson, who has an injured knee. That means sophomore guard Eric Gaines will have to step up and Coach Will Wade says he’s also counting on freshman Justice Williams…

The six-foot-four Williams has only played in three games this season because of a foot injury. Tip-off is at 6 PM.

In last night’s SEC basketball action, fourth-ranked Auburn defeated Alabama 81-77, 18th ranked Kentucky defeated Vanderbilt 78-66 and 22nd ranked Tennessee topped South Carolina 66-46.

In the NBA, Brandon Ingram’s three-pointer with less than a second left gave the Pelicans a 128 to 125 win over the Timberwolves. Brandon Ingram had 33 points and nine assists.
