An Indoor mask mandate begins tomorrow in New Orleans. Leaders fear if the mandate is not reinstated more businesses could close due to staffing shortages and more children would be out of the classroom. The state reports just under 12,500 new COVID cases today and 1,905 hospitalizations, that’s an increase of 111 from the previous day. 94 of those patients are on ventilators and 77-percent are unvaccinated in Louisiana hospitals.
